Our Story

Charleston Gardens® opened its doors at 61 Queen Street, Charleston, SC on December 4, 1994. Our store soon garnered the support of Charlestonians and visitors alike. Our mail order business began with a 12-page holiday catalog in late 1995; our web site debuted in April 1998. Benefiting from the excellent economic environment of the 90s, all three segments of the business--retail, catalog, and web--grew rapidly. Today, the majority of our customers--who appreciate the Southern lifestyle represented by Charleston Gardens®--live outside the South.

Our Catalog Outlet opened in early 2003 offering samples, overstocks and slightly blemished merchandise. In 2009, we closed the outlet store, as we expanded the clearance section of our website.

The Charleston Gardens® staff consists of individuals who share a commitment to excellence in customer service and merchandising and who enjoy working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial setting.

Return Policy

Our guarantee assures that a customer can return a purchase within 90 days for any reason (less shipping and handling fee).

When gift recipients refuse a gift, we provide a refund for the merchandise to the gift giver, less the return freight as well as the outbound shipping and handling fee. When furniture gifts are refused, a restock fee may apply since finishes and fabrics are normally designated.

If you wish to return a selection for refund or exchange, please be sure to carefully re-pack the merchandise and insure your package. We are not able to provide refunds for merchandise lost in the mail or damaged in transit. All returns should be sent to:
